Close a Direct Message Conversation

    Open Slack. It's the blue, yellow, red, and green colored app with a black "S" in the center. You can download Slack from the App Store if you have not already done so.
    • Log into Slack with your email address and password, if you aren't logged in automatically.

    Tap a direct message conversation. It's below the "direct message" heading in the workspace side menu. This will display the direct messages with that person in the chat window.
    • If you don't see the workspace side menu, tap the slack logo in the top-left first.

    Tap the person's name at the top. This will open additional options and info with the conversation.

    Tap Close DM. This close the direct message conversation and the person will no longer be listed in your direct messages list.

Permanently Delete Messages

    Tap . It's in the bottom-right corner of the message.

    Tap Yes, Delete the Message to confirm. The message is now deleted and cannot be recovered.
