How to Create an LGBT Flyer

LGBTQ+ rights are important. If you believe that LGBTQ+ people deserve the same rights as everyone else does, you may consider creating a flyer.

Steps

Make your statement. Let people know exactly what you are doing and why, but don't be too straightforward. Make sure that it is brief but still summarizes your event.

Know your supporters. You really shouldn't just hand these out to random people on the street. There are homophobic people out there that may strongly disagree. Try a gay/lesbian bar or a concert. How many supporters you get really depends on how open-minded the people in your neighborhood are. Make sure you have some close friends that will also help you.

Be symbolic. Rainbows are a great way to show your gay pride. Don't use anything inappropriate such as:
- Offensive gay terms and jokes
- Inappropriate photos
- Offensive words against another religion
- These things can hurt people and will not get you any supporters.

Give helpful information. Be sure to include: the address of the event, your e-mail, a phone number(optional), and your first name. Don't give away too much information.
