Ever wanted a custom neighborhood in The Sims 2? This article can tell you how, in just 10 easy steps!
Steps
-
1Open Sim City 4 and select a city. You have three sizes of cities in SC4 (small medium and large). Only small ones will load for The Sims 2.
-
2Play the city, then terraform your neighborhood to make it more realistic and pretty. You can add lakes, rivers, etc. Make sure there is enough land left when you're done to add roads.
-
3Click "Establish City" and name your new city. Add roads, bridges, and trees to suit.
-
4Take a screenshot of your neighborhood. This will be the preview for The Sims 2.
-
5Save and close SimCity 4
-
6Put both the .sc4 file and .png file in your C:\Users\[Current User Account]\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\SC4Terrains\ folder.
-
7Rename both files to whatever you like (They both have to have the same name).
-
8If you want to fit your neighborhood screenshot to the proper size for a preview, use paint to change the size to 300x255 pixels.
-
9Open up The Sims 2. Select create custom neighborhood, then select Yes on the pop-up.
-
10Select the neighborhood you just made, name it, and hit play. When it's done loading, your neighborhood will officially be in TS2.
