How to Create a Mercari Shop

Create a shop name. Go to settings at the bottom of your profile and then click "Edit Profile". In the User Name section at the top of the page, type in what you want to name your shop.

Upload a picture. Click on "Change Photo" at the top of the same page and upload a picture for your shop. This can be anything you like as long as it is appropriate and preferably relevant.

Include a shop description. In the description section at the bottom, type in a description for your shop. It is recommended to talk about what items you sell and any information that will be helpful to buyers. Click on Update to save it.

Add your bank account information. To ensure that you can get paid for the items you sell, you will need to add your bank account information. Click on settings and click “My bank account”. You will need to enter your first and last name, bank routing number, bank checking account number, and confirm your checking account number.

Click on "Sell". Click on the orange button that says sell at the bottom of the page.

Take a picture of your sales item. After you press "Sell", your camera screen will pop up. Use your phone camera to take a picture of the item you want to sell. You must add 1 picture; however, you may add up to 12 photos.

Create a name for your item. At the top of the selling page, type in a name for the item you are selling. This cannot exceed 40 characters.

Type an item description. Below the title section, click on the description section and type in a description of your item. This description must be at least 5 words. It cannot be larger than 1000 characters.

Add hashtags. In the box that says hashtags, type up to 3 hashtags that apply to your item. This will help buyers find your item.

Fill out the details section. Below the hashtag section, you need to enter information regarding the item you are selling. You will want to choose a category, brand, condition, size, and color.

Fill out the delivery information. In the box that says zip code, write in the zip code from which you will be shipping your product out.

Choose your shipping. Click yes or no to answer whether or not you want to offer the buyer free delivery. Then, click select standard shipping and enter the weight of the item. Here, you can choose to ship via FedEx, UPS, or USPS.

Set your price. Click on set your price and enter how much you would like to sell the item for. Mercari will offer you suggestions; however, you may choose a different price.
