How to Create a Google Account Using an Android Device

Steps

Open the Android's Settings app. It looks like a cog wheel. Once you locate it, click on it to open your settings.

Scroll down to Accounts.

Tap Add Account. This will bring up a selection of different accounts that you can add.

Tap Google.

Tap Create Account.

Enter your name and tap Next.
- Enter your first name into the first blank and last name into the second blank.

Tap your desired username and tap Next.
- This username will come before the "@gmail.com" part of your email address. If your desired username is taken then you'll be told to select the given suggestions.

Create a password and tap Next.
- Your password must be at least 8 characters long and should contain letters, numbers, and symbols.
- Type it the same into both boxes to confirm.

Enter your phone number and tap Next or Skip to forgot it.
- You'll be asked to add a phone number if you want. This phone number can be used to verify your identity. Tap Yes, I'm in to add your number or Skip to forget it.

Review the terms of service and tap I agree.

Tap Next to sign in.
