How to Close Google Ads

While you can't prevent all ads in Google products, you can block them as they appear. If you're seeing an ad on a website and app that partners with Google to show ads, you can close and report them. This wikiHow will show you how to close Google ads that appear from websites and apps that partner with Google to show ads.

    Tap Why this ad. After you click the information icon, a menu will drop-down and you'll see a quick explanation of why you're seeing this specific ad once you tap Why this ad.

    Tap Show ads from [ADVERTISER] to turn it off. If you're browsing YouTube on a phone or tablet, the option here is Stop seeing this ad.[1]

    • You'll see Stop seeing this ad and Report this ad.
