How to Change Your Platform on Fortnite

This wikiHow teaches you how to connect your Epic Games account to other platforms such as Xbox Live, PlayStation Network (PSN), and Nintendo. This will sync all your progress and purchases, and allow you to play with the same account across all your platforms. You will only be able to play cross-platform games with people who you're friends with through your Epic Games account.

Steps

Open Epic Games in your internet browser. Type https://www.epicgames.com into your browser's address bar, and press ↵ Enter or ⏎ Return on your keyboard.
- You can open this website in any desktop, mobile or console browser.

Click SIGN IN on the top-right. This button looks like a white figurehead icon in the upper-right corner of the page. It will open the sign-in form.

Sign in to your Epic Games account. Enter your email address and password, and click the blue SIGN IN button.
- If you don't have an account, click the blue Sign Up option at the bottom.
- Alternatively, click one of the PSN, Xbox, Nintendo, Facebook or Google icons here to sign in with one of these accounts.

Hover over or click your username on the top-right. Once you're signed in, you'll find your username in the upper-right corner of the page. It will open a drop-down menu.

Click ACCOUNT on the menu. This will open your account settings on a new page.

CONNECTED ACCOUNTS on the left menu. This page will show you all the available platforms you can connect.

Click the CONNECT button below the platform you want to connect. You can link your Epic Games account to other platforms here, including Xbox, PSN, and Nintendo.

Click LINK YOUR ACCOUNT. This will redirect you to the selected platform's website, and prompt you to log in.

Sign in to your Xbox, PSN or Nintendo account. Depending on the platform you select on the previous page, you'll have to enter your email, username and password to sign in, and link your account.
- Once you're signed in, you'll be redirected back to the Epic Games page.

Click CONTINUE on the Epic Games page. When you're signed in and redirected back to Epic Games, click this button to finish connecting your account.
- You can now log in and play Fortnite with the same account across all your connected platforms.
- The blue CONNECT button will turn into a gray DISCONNECT when your account is connected.
