How to Change Your Language on TikTok

TikTok is available in 39 languages, and you're not limited in how many times or how often you can change the app's language. This wikiHow will teach you how to change your language on TikTok on both Android and iOS phones and tablets.

Steps

Open TikTok. This app icon looks like a white, blue, and red music note on a black background. You can find this on either your home screen, in the apps drawer, or by searching.
- Log in if prompted.

Tap the profile icon labeled “Me”. This icon looks like the outline of a person. You’ll find this in the bottom menu to the right.

Tap ⋮. This button is in the upper right corner of your screen. It will open the Privacy and Settings menu.

Tap Language. This is under the header "General."

Tap the language listed under "App Language". A list of languages available for the app appears here.

Tap the language you want. A red checkmark will appear next to your selection.

Tap Done. You'll see this in the upper right corner of your screen. The menu will disappear and the app will restart in the language you selected.
- You can also add languages to your app by tapping Add Language. For example, if your app language is English, but you have added the Español language, you will see videos that are completely in that language while your app is in English.^{[1]
