How to Catch Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2

The Lake Trio Pokémon, Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf, are available for you to catch in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2. Learn how to catch them by reading this article.

Steps

Beat the Elite 4 and Champion. You need to do this before you're able to catch these Pokémon.

Go west of Virbank City to Route 20.

Go to the southern part of the route (near the dark grass) and use Surf. Go south and then west until you find a waterfall. Use Waterfall and go west until you reach a fork. Go south, then west until you find a cave. Enter it.

You'll trigger a cutscene where Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf appear, and they'll head off to three different locations.

Part 1

Part 1 of 3:
Finding Uxie

Go to Nacrene City.

Go to the museum to the north. There, go into the middle of the circular area, and a text box will appear asking if you want to check the area. Say yes, and Uxie will appear.

Talk to it to battle it.

Part 2

Part 2 of 3:
Finding Mesprit

Go to Celestial Tower, which is located on Route 7, north of Mistralton City.

Go up the tower until you reach the top, where the bell is.

Go to the area just before the stairs, and a text box will appear asking if you want to check the area. Say yes, and Mesprit will appear.

Talk to it to battle it.

Part 3 of 3:
Finding Azelf

Go to Route 23, west of the Giant Chasm. You'll want to go there by flying to Victory Road, and then going south to Route 23.

Go down the stairs, then go west. Cut down the bush using Cut, then go west until you reach a plateau with a large boulder.

Go up the stairs, and a text box will appear asking if you want to check the area. Say yes, and Azelf will appear.

Talk to it to battle it.

Can I battle the three lake spirits again if they faint in Pokemon White 2?

No, but if you saved the game, you may do it again with a soft reset.

Where do I find Mesprit after I beat it?

Unfortunately, after you beat it, there is no way you can find it and battle it again. Next time, when you face a legendary, save the game just before the battle. Then if you beat it, you can reset the game and you'll have the chance to take it on once more.

If I run out of Pokeballs, does that mean I can't battle them again?

Yes, which is why you should only battle them once you think you have a good amount of Pokeballs.

What happens after I catch all three?

It just fills up your Pokedex entries, and that's pretty much it. Don't forget to show it to Professor Juniper from the Nuvema Town to get Protect and False Swipe. Also, show the Pokedex to the game director from the Game Freak building in Castelia City to get a certificate for completing the Unova City Pokedex (if you complete the Unova Pokedex).

Can Zekrom be caught in Pokémon White 2?

No only in black 2. white 2 gives you reshiram instead. But you can catch uxie, mespirit, and azelf in both.
