How to Buy Overwatch for a Friend

This wikiHow teaches you how to purchase Overwatch as a gift, and automatically send it to a friend, using an internet browser. You can send the game via Blizzard Battle.net or email.

Steps

Open the Overwatch website in your internet browser. Type https://playoverwatch.com into the address bar, and press ↵ Enter or ⏎ Return on your keyboard.

Click the BUY NOW button. This is an orange button in the middle of the page. It will take you to the product page.

Select the game edition you want to buy. Click Legendary Edition or Standard Edition to select one of them.

Click the Gift button below Buy Now. This option will allow you to purchase the game as a gift for another user.
- You'll be prompted to sign in to your Blizzard account.

Sign in to your Blizzard account. Enter your email and your password, and click the Log in to Blizzard button.
- Alternatively, click the Facebook or Google icon to sign in with your social media account.

Select a recipient for your gift. You can select from your Blizzard Battle.net friends, or enter your friend's email address.
- If you select from your Blizzard friends, you can also add an optional gift message.

Click Continue to Checkout. This is a blue button at the bottom. It will take you to the payment page.

Select a payment option from the drop-down. Click the "PAY WITH" drop-down at the top of the payment form, and select PayPal, Credit or Debit Card, or Blizzard Balance.
- If you select PayPal, you will have to click Continue to PayPal, and complete your purchase on the PayPal website.
- If you select Credit or Debit Card, you'll need to enter your card and billing information.
- If you have enough Blizzard Balance on your account, you can select this option, and use your available credit to pay.

Click the Pay Now button. This is a blue button at the bottom. It will confirm your purchase, and send Overwatch to your friend as a gift. They can open it from their Blizzard Battle.net account or their email.
