How to Block a Skype Group on iPhone or iPad

Although you can't block a group specifically, this wikiHow teaches you how to turn off notifications for groups as well as leave groups on the Skype app for iPhone and iPad.

Method 1

Turn Off Group Notifications

Open Skype. It's the light-blue icon with the white "S" in the middle.
- Log into Skype with your phone number or email and password if you aren't logged in automatically.

Tap Chats. It's the middle tab at the top, just below your profile image.
- On iPad, tap the Contacts or Recents tab at the bottom-left of the screen instead.

Tap the group. Tap the group you want to silence to open its chat window.

Tap the group's name. It's at the very top of the group chat window.

Tap the switch for "Notifications" to the 'OFF'
position. It's towards the bottom of the page in the "Group Settings" section. This disables the notifications of a group and you won't be notified by the group anymore.

Leave a Group

Tap Leave Group. It's at the bottom of the page. This will open a pop-up confirmation message.

Tap Leave Group to confirm. This will remove you from the group.
