How to Be Popular on Habbo Hotel

Habbo Hotel is a virtual world where you can make friends and rooms, buy furniture, become a Habbo Club member, go to parties, restaurants, and more! Of course, you're probably familiar with all this. If so, you probably know those popular people, the "rich" Habbos, with people following them around all day. If you're active in Habbo, you probably recognize happy (the rich habbo who has really awesome rooms), Eminatyr (the cool DJ who has hundreds of listeners), Spaghetti, (that random habbo who everyone happens to love), A (the adoption center man), ToxicMint (The Ariel dressed AutoRun guy) and NewFolder (a hallway habbo that receives a lot of attention ) as some popular people. Want to become well-known, too?

So, if you want to get all the guys, have loads of friends and be just downright "cool", now you can; just read on!

Know the reason for participating

Know why you want to be popular on Habbo. To get more friends? Have more of a chance of winning prizes? To get more respect? Only YOU know why you want to be popular, so choose and keep that decision.

Make friendships

Make friends. The popular Habbos didn't become popular by sitting quietly in the corner. They went to Public Rooms, chatted about stuff, became friends and kept them. Go to the welcome rooms, look at some "cool" people and try to dress like them.

Be friends with one/all of the popular people. That way, you can ask for advice, copy them (don't let them find out) and hang out with them.

If someone calls you names just try to say something nice and say it calm so it won't become a bigger fight.

Respect the popular habbos. They will *hopefully* respect you back. Maybe act a little bit like other cool habbos. The way they talk, act, move or react. Don't get the wrong idea and follow all the popular people. Just if your friends with one, hang with them!

Try getting a rich boyfriend or girlfriend. Ask them to move some furniture into your room, so they can share houses.

Take a care with your language

Avoid stupid spellings (hoi, shure, yeahz, wazzup, hubbo, hobbo, etc.). You'll just come across as a total "noob". Try spelling like a normal person, and carry out common conversation. Type with proper punctuation and spelling, this can really intimidate people and make them think you're cool.

Learn your basic Habbo slang. Furni means furniture. Bobba is a swear word. Noob is a new Habbo. Hola is a common greeting. Z's often replace S's. HC means Habbo Club. Norm is a person who is NOT in Habbo Club. Your vocabulary will expand as you move on in Habbo. People who don't say "whut iz furni?" often look better than the people who just continue talking than asking a stupid question.

Show respect

Know your boundaries! Don't just walk on into a HC Party if you are a norm, and don't crash Norm parties if you're HC.

Wealth and credits

Get rich! You don't have to shell out $15 on credits to get furni. Play games like Falling Furni, mazes, and other things. Look in descriptions or titles to see if there is a prize rewarded, then play to win. You can also win coins to buy HC and furni.

Make a storage room and get rid of your starter furni. You could have gained a lot of popularity, but when someone sees a starter lamp, they'll be turned off.

Get credits. If you're not allowed to, play games like falling furni or cozzie change. You may or may not win, but you still have plenty of fun playing anyway!

Don

Don't go around begging people for furniture (known as furni in the hotel). It just makes people mad, and once again, you'll look like a totally stupid and nooby habbo, and will make people hate you.

Throw some parties

Host awesome parties. Name it something cool, not lame like "Sexxxx.." or "Oh yes hot party" or "ShexyTime:D".

Host your own games, parties, and mazes. Look at other rooms for your idea of style.

Get around

Be everywhere. When you hear about a new big event happening, get there!

Don't spend too much time in Public Rooms. Guest rooms are better suited for cool and experienced players.

Dress well

Dress cool. Don't dress nooby. People are more likely going to be attracted to people who dress original and cool outfits! They may don't want to see someone going around in a tuxedo and sunglasses named "coolzbodiezz323445646".

If you're a guy, dress cool, and wear 3D glasses or a tiki mask, and put a crown on.

Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone with the way you look. Even if you're a really tough dude, they don't mind if you wear a tiara or a bow. Get creative!

Keep away from scamming

Never scam! If you're caught, you'll get suspended, banned, and hated. Most of all, you'll be remembered for what you did. Ouch!

How do I buy clothes so that I can wear them? I went to the shop, put some on, but it places it in my room instead.

Click on the clothes and it'll say use. Select that option to have them appear in your closet.

I tried all of these and got told to kill myself by the "popular" habbos. What should I do?

Just dress the way you like to. Put them on ignore and continue striving to go higher. People like them are happy because they got HC. Good for them. No one cares. People who show off like that are wannabe ''popular'' habbos. You don't need HC to be good.

If you copy people's salons/schools etc., you will probably get reported. Although, at no point in "The Habbo Way" does it say anything about copying. But is does say have fun, so make sure you do have fun!

Some people will just hate you for no reason. if this is the case, just click on them and press ignore. If they are being racist or showing sexual abuse, you may report them, as this is against "The Habbo Way".
