This wikiHow teaches you how to link a web page to an image or video in your Instagram story, using Android. You have to be a verified account and/or have 10,000 followers to add a link to your story.

Steps

    Open Instagram on your Android. The Instagram icon looks like a white camera icon on a purple-and-orange background. You can find it on your Apps menu.

    Tap the tiny house icon. This button is located on a navigation bar in the lower-left corner of your screen. It will open your home feed.

    Take a photo or video for your story. Tap the white circle icon at the bottom of your screen for a photo, or hold it down for video.
    • Alternatively, you can tap the gallery icon in the lower-right corner of your screen, and select an image or video from your Android's camera roll.

    Tap the Link icon at the top. This button looks like two pieces of chain linked together next to the Sticker icon at the top your screen. It will allow you to add a web link to your story image or video.
    • You have to be a verified account and/or have 10,000 followers in order to add a link to your story. Otherwise, you won't see this icon on your screen.

    Enter a URL link into the Enter Link field. You can use your keyboard to type a URL link here, or paste text from your clipboard.

    Tap the blue checkmark icon. This button is in the upper-right corner of your screen. It will save your URL link, and embed it to your image or video.

    Tap the + Your Story button. This button is in the lower-left corner of your image or video. It will post your daily story. Viewers will now be able to swipe up on your story and visit the linked web page.

Warnings

  • If you're not a verified account, or have at least 10,000 followers, Instagram doesn't let you add a link to your story.
