Steps

1Open Google Docs on your iPhone or iPad. It's the blue sheet of paper with white lines and a turned-down corner. You'll usually find it on the home screen.

3Tap +. It's at the top of the screen, toward the right. This opens the “Insert” menu at the bottom of the screen.

4Scroll down the menu and tap Page number. A list of positions for your page numbers will appear.

5Tap your desired position. Choose one of the four options that determine where the numbers will appear. The page numbers will insert immediately.
- The first option adds page numbers to the top-right corner of each page, starting with the first page.
- The second option adds page numbers to the top-right corner of every page, starting with the second page.
- The third option adds page numbers to the bottom-right corner of each page, starting with the first page.
