How to Add Captions on Google Photos on iPhone or iPad

This wikiHow teaches you how to enter and save an image description or caption to a picture's Info page on Google Photos, using an iPhone or iPad.

Steps

Open the Google Photos app on your iPhone or iPad. The Photos icon looks like a colored pinwheel with red, green, orange, and blue curls. You can find it on your home screen or in a folder.

Tap the Photos tab. This button looks like a
icon on a navigation bar at the bottom of your screen. It will open a list of all your saved images.

Tap the image you want to edit. Find your picture on the list, and tap on it to open it full-screen.

Tap the
icon at the bottom. This will open the selected image's Info page.

Tap the Add a description field. This option is at the top of the Info page. Here you can enter a description or caption for the selected picture.

Enter a description or caption for your image. You can use your keyboard to type a caption, or long-press the text field and select Paste to paste text from your clipboard.

Tap the
icon on the top-left. This will save all the changes to your image's Info page, and take you back to your library.
