A standard nasal cannula can be used to deliver oxygen at flow rates of 1-4 liters per minute, with high flow cannulas able to deliver at rates up to 6L per minute equating to a concentration of approximately 24-44% oxygen
Position the nasal cannula with the nasal prongs facing upward and curved toward the face and tuck the tubing behind the patient's ears to keep the cannula in place. Insert the two nasal prongs into the nostrils.
