Fruit vine

Fruit vines have many advantages. They can:

  • be easy-to-grow useful plants
  • often grow in a large pot, on a balcony
  • grow up a makeshift trellis or balcony railing
  • provide dappled shade, with a pleasant cooling effect in summer or in hot climates
  • provide an easy supply of fruit for eating fresh, cooking, or preserving (e.g. with a solar food dryer.
